My goal was to make the jaw moving by making a large slit in the base, but I think a) I put the fur on too tightly for it to move freely and b) my chin isn't defined enough for it to work anyway. I can get it to open slightly but I have to wear it in an uncomfortable way. Also thank you!! <3
thank you! probably not, though. my parents want me to have a job this summer and im compromising by promising to take commissions. if i spend time making a fursuit head for someone else, i'd want it to be in return for funds.
They would start below average, around 100$ for a head because i'm inexperienced, but each successful head (by which i mean the customer agrees that it's high quality) i made would be more expensive than the last.
I really really REALLY want to get a head from you...I saw in a comment though that you'd only charge $75-$125. DO NOT EVER UNDERSELL YOURSELF. Deviantart isn't a great place to find fair commissioners, but I know people on Furaffinity (including myself) who would gladly pay $200-$250 for this quality.
i know how important it is to the community to not charge too little and i realized after posting that comment that those probably weren't appropriate prices. i was considering the fact that it would only be my second head and thinking of it kind of a practice deal. like i wouldn't charge less than minimum wage for my art because i have plenty experience and i know from doing private commissions with friends that i can satisfy my commissioners. people so far have only seen pictures of the outside of the head and don't know how it fits, how the fur looks in person, what it looks like on the inside, etc, so i don't know if these judgements of my work are fair. i would charge more for fursuit parts as i got more experience, but before i know that my work is acceptable to sell i would charge below average.
This is absolutely beautiful. I'm super impressed. ESPECIALLY for your first head. That's absolutely amazing. You could really do this professionally if you wanted to, I think. The style is wonderful, and it looks well proportioned and sturdy. Definitely some quality there!
